If you can stand the suspense, watch through till the end, then read the comments.

(Scratches head). More fun out of reading the comments than finding out how to destroy a spanner for nothing.

You must have been bored to find that one TWB! Very Happy

Although... some forty-odd years back I bought a set of Hilka combination spanners that cost me a full days pay. Fast forward about five years and I'm taking apart a Honda CB750 that (as it turns out) had rotated no.4 lower big-end shell through almost 180 degrees. The chain-drive camshaft sprocket is dished and there's no room to get even a 1/4" drive socket in there. You have to buy the special Honda tool to do it. Well - they would like you to buy the special Honda tool to do it but I didn't have that sort of money. So... I very reluctantly introduced the 10mm spanner to the bench vice and hammer to offset the ring end enough to get those damn cam sprocket bolts out. Forty years later that is still the first 10mm spanner I reach for. Hilka were really good quality back then.

Ironically, a few months later I did a second CB750 engine that had the same big-end shell problem. Both survived with just a change of shells and big-end bolts.

I've a few modified (mutilated) tools in my arsenal. The spanner is for holding the top suspension caps on my 75. The really bent up screwdriver was to remove the circlip on a Astra A/C compressor without removing the compressor.
Regards Martin.
