My impression of this arrangement, after seeing them the past coupla years appearing on custom K bikes, is that of a new (and more complicated) mousetrap.

Guys, that's an important part of the bike's suspension and a setup completely different from what the original engineers thought would be appropriate

I know, there's been this Brasilian guy selling blueprints for exactly that kind of stuff, but anyway, no, thank you, Sir

And here I was thinking it would be just a piece of steel bar with a hole drilled in either end for a hard tail option.  

Rick, did you end up burning keeping that cafe racer seat you had on oohbay?

I did say cafe racer and we know how much they get ridden. Don't be too dismissive of Aliexpress there is some very good stuff on there but unfortunately you need to wade through loads of crap to find it.
And I sure as hell don't intend to be the one to try it.

Don't we have detailed accounts of "it won't fit the 1100 Paralever" in here someplace?? But it does do the Monolever, albeit maybe not able to better stock.  Certainly betterer than a knee action damper and a leaf spring or nearly.
