The colour of a bike is a very personal thing. Whilst I didnt mind the original 'Pearl Silver' as BMW called it - or to my eyes 'White', I always hankered after another black beauty.

So having already decided this bike was for keeps, and being forced to tart it up a bit after someone backed into the standing bike in Sainsbury's carpark and knocking it over, I stripped it down and handed the bits over for an 'Avus Black' paintjob.

From this:

White into Black. 1-1

White into Black. 3-1

White into Black. 2-1

To this:

White into Black. 4-1

White into Black. 5-1

White into Black. 6

White into Black. 7

White into Black. 8

White into Black. 9

Conclusive proof that Black is the best colour for a K Wink

That's a beautiful colour choice, one of my favourites for its stealth look, made even sweeter by the background scenery. Even Blakey might like it, even though it's not red. Wink

Colour is personal, for sure. My K100 was an RS and jet black like yours before I changed it to blue and RT. I never really liked the all black colour.
White into Black. DSCN0442

I see that yours has K1100 front end, four piston Brembos in front and K1100 three-spoke wheels, just like mine.

I prefer the black over the white. It even makes it look like its faster.

Nice. Always found black hard to keep. Turns you into an obsessive polisher.
Those wheels and brakes were standard on the K100RS16v, robmack.
Sure are pretty. Still have the bits for that project for my K100LT for next winter.
