Hi Folks,
This humorous series is a great spoof on The Matrix.

This is certainly not BMW related, but if we want to ride for many more years, we are better to pay close attention to the implication of what we eat and the way that we produce our food.

It may be a spoof, but the messages are real and very clear.

good one K-Bike

The serious side of this is as the Crazy Frog says with absolute honesty the way the mega factory meat plants produce food now is hazardous to our health.

The massive use of antibiotics in meat plants is fuelling the development of drug resistant bacteria and the use of steroid hormones to make the animals bulk up has got to be a risk for being passed through the meat into the people who eat it.

Go free range organic producers, there is a choice for most of us.

Nice one K Bike. I've been a 'veggi' for years now! Seems that people just refuse to see what is on their plate. When I get asked the qustion WHY? I have learnt to keep it simple for simple minds. 1. Animal cruelty. I hate it. 2. Personal health. Just look at the risks. 3. Global hunger. Almost 60% of the worlds population is underfed and meat production is a primary reason and it seems a bit unfair to me.
Other reasons such as antibiotics becoming useless (after the wheel they must be humanities greatest discovery! remember the millions that died of post operation infection until the 1930's.) and animal poo blasting the ozone layer apart never seems to convince people. They aint never going to get ill, the science is to complicated for their brains and all animals poo anyway, so whats my problem....?
I visit Romania a good deal, and there I am known to eat the flesh. The difference is that it is a rural community and the goose, pig, chicken, goat or whatever lives out in the yard and leads a real life and is highly valued and well treated as a result.
When I was a kid (oh so long ago...) the 'sunday roast' was a treat and would feed us for days after. What happened?
Thanks for the great link. Will get passed about. Pity about the unconverted though! Boris the Bike.

Hi Boris,
You only have to look at Mad Cow disease it only came about because they ground up whole dead sheep and fed them to cows to make them bulk up. Cow's eat grass not meat, as a result of feeding them dead sheep which had died either of or with Scrapie the disease jumped the species barrier and we had Mad Cow. Now as a result of eating infected cows it has jumped the species barrier again and we have humans with Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease , when will we learn?

Hi K-Bike,
I almost wrote another post to say that I came on a bit strong on a bikers site and I should stick to K100's. Thank for the reply, reminded me that I aint alone in this. It is a bike site, but no reason that we should not open other topics. Summer over here in the UK, sunny and I have finally fixed the clutch. Ready for my first blast for months, yeeeee hi.
Cheers Boris the Bile.
