Idea I have a k-100 rs 89 model . Do all older k bikes have such a dramatic lean angle when using the kickstand ? Mine has been like this since I bought it in 2001. I break out in a cold sweat when I see it ! There is a small amount of slack where the stand pivots but nothing severe . I was told they were all like that. What do you think ?

Yep - they pretty much all do that - I've had two different stands on mine and they both alarm me from time to time..this is a timely reminder to go look for some suitable rubber!

For shits and giggles; noted the same and a closer inspection showed a nick in the side stand. Found one offered cheap (yeah....) and bought it to find out that they have the nick from new........ Shocked

Hi Ken
you should see about 10 of them lined up on a sloping road edge. I have learnt to trust that I left it in gear and just walk away, don't look backl. Be cool.

i made a squre of 6mm thick duralumin chequer plate , tapped and held in place by 2 stainless m5 bolts through the sidestand foot. This serves as a 'sacrificial ' surface, and alters the angle slightly.
