I've been registered for quite a while now but it seems that I haven't even got round to even introducing myself. I'm the owner of a rather tatty 8V K100RT in a not-entirely-moderate state of disassembly, which is how I bought her, hoping to bring her back to her former glory at some point (won't be happening any time soon...).

I'm glad to see there are still so many people who love the old "bricks". As a K100 owner, I hope Ι'll be able to join the club of K100 *riders* at some point.

Welcome SbaragliaMan. This intrepid group don't really care how tatty or shiney your brick is as long as you share the enjoyment of owning/riding/working on it that's all that matters.

Have a look on some of the restoration threads, You might get motivated to get it rolling a whole lot better and after we've read your resto thread we can read your ride reports!! Good to have you along.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I have to say I'm impressed. I'll probably be lurking more than posting for a good while still as getting the beemer properly running has been put on the back burner. More "pressing" projects emerged in the last couple of years and I'm not known for being able to manage my time well. I just hope there'll still be petrol available whem I'm done. Embarassed
Either way, it's lovely to have that breadth (and depth) of information all in one place and feel welcome visiting it as well.

Thanks again, I hope you have all lots of fun with your Ks.

Not to mention all of our soldiers who died helping your country fight the Germans in WWII.
Anyway, welcome to the Knut house.
