Great looking bike ffbikersa. Are there more Ks that have left Germany than have stayed? Seems like it.

Hi Ed!

No intentional changes yet from my side - but an idiot car driver made some on my bike's fairing in autumn last year Sad
It had been repaired but still needs respraying. I've been in search for suitable engine protection bars from then on, as they were damaged too, and finally found got them on eBay now. Expect them to arrive next week.

Decided to get the black ones, and sidecases will be painted black too instead of original bike's silver colour. Looking to find a pair of rear protection bars too.

How's with your bike? Any longer tours planned?

Cheers
Tarik

I came across some recently but can't remeber exactly whichwebsite. Try a seach for government surplus dealers in holland and/or germany. As far as I am aware the rear bars mount where the rear foot pegs go, so you cannot carry a passenger if you use them.

Well somebody recommended me to contact your fellow countryman, Alexander McCarthy, as he has some from ex-police bikes. He promised to check how much would the postage expenses be, but he's sooo slow in answering. But thanks for the tip about footpegs, I'm gonna check that. Next month I'm taking my bike to a friend in Croatia, who runs an unofcicial BMW workshop, to have a thorough check. He knows everything about K series, so will be able to give a sound opinion.
