Hello John, Good to see more midwestern Ks. Welcome to this great forum, there aren't a better group in any forum on the internet.
I had purchased my low mileage '85 k100rs before Xmas and then my wife found one low mileage '87 K75s in Texas two weeks back.
I took this picture two weeks ago when I drove down to pick the K75 up.

You may recognize the scenery.
Having driven down 59 into Arkansas, I am sure that MO offers some fantastic rides.
Good to have you aboard and we should hook up. My daughter is moving to Columbia soon and I will be down that way from time to time. Show me, MO.

UJ chicago.

I am trying to PM someone on a forum, and have the message in my outbox...does this mean it is waiting to be sent? or has it been sent...

On a unrelated note...i am picking up the tools to replace the seals in the K75/K100 water/oil pump, and would be happy to help with others pumps rebuilds (for free obviously...just want to justify the purchase of the drift and handle)...it is pretty ridiculous to buy a new pump for 500 for 30 bucks worth of seals...where should i post this

Thanks for the note...I live pretty close to Hwy94 which runs along the missouri through winery country..it is nice, and there are a bunch of scenic routes in Southern MO in the national forest...along with a lot of deer. If you are ever in the area, you have to stop by Fast Eddies...the harley/biker bar in alton (nice ride up there also on the river road). Very cheap food, and beer (though i avoid the brew when I am on my bike...I'd rather not die).

I miss Chicago...I went to college there...great city...just not a lot of rides around there (but safe rides...i mean you cant get sideswiped by a deer when you can see it coming from a mile away through a field)

Nice bikes, I always keep my eye out for k75s....funny how you have to drive to Texas at times to get them....I had one shipped from Texas....bad shape...there was a red ant colony living in the airbox....they were pissed when I opened it up in November in MO...of course, they were also freezing. Wish I lived in CA...a guy was selling three K75s in varying shape but previously running...I would love to get them and recycle them for the next generation of K enthusiasts...awesome bike

tio Jaimito...whose uncle are you...Spanish or Brazilian? my wife is from Rio, and i know a little Portuguese. Don't know if tio is spanish for uncle..so I may be speaking out of place.

If you ever have questions on the bikes (toubleshooting)..i have a lot of repairs on them and would be happy to give my input, or direct you to online help...of course, they don't break down much unless neglected; so you shouldn't have a problem

Sorry Irish/Norwegian mix. My sailing students started calling me "Uncle Jim" for my unsolicited advice. But lived in Mexico for half a decade (narcotraficante no:) so I picked up spanish. Nao falo bem na portuguese Sad

I definitely will be coming down frequently to visit my Daughter in Colombia, MO. and will also appreicate the offer for help with the K75s. I appreciate the leads. I can't wait to start riding.

I posted elsewhere, but i am picking up an 85 K100RS to which I will be fitting my sprint fairing (oddly, it doesn't fit the K75 that well). Not currently running, but owner said it stopped running suddenly and quietly...hoping it is the fuel pump...

I was able to get an 87 K75S that sat out in the sun for 17 years (bc of a bad starter button, of all things) had a red ant colonly living in the air box and crapping over the air vane, faded, and corroded (holes in the gas tank from corrosion....i was able to get this running well...so i am somewhat confident I can get the K100 running as well...making it my touring bike.

Only pic I have is my stable of K's and one R in my garage, packed ahead of a Mini Cooper i bought specifically to allow more room in my garage for motorcycles..but will post it soon.
