A few years ago I came across this K1100 RS, she was for sale with 80,256 km on the odometer. Made a test ride and it felt right at the first moment, didnt' hesitate and bought her.
I had been driving around with her for 6K km and decided that she deserved a general overhaul.
Took her apart, had the frame and rims sandblasted and powder coated. Revised the engine, brake system, suspension, wiring harness and replaced all worn pieces with genuine BMW OEM parts. Had the fairing repainted (dual tone black/silver) and brought her to pristine condition.
To finalise this project only things that remains to do is to calibrate the speedometer, bleed the brake system, fill her up with all fluids (transmission, cooling and motor oil).
Hope to get her roadworthy at the end of winter.

Flushing the cooling system with Calgonite. Chunks of toothpaste like stuff came out and pieces of limestone.
Cilinderhead gasket and waterpump shaftseal were replaced, had some mayonaise in my oil.
Suspected the waterpump and cilinderhead gasket to be leaky.
