I've just seen a pic of a K1200rs Center Stand on fleabay. Appart from the obviously different Side stand the Center legs look identical to the K1100 stand fitted to me K100LT - Before I lash out cash has anyone seen them in the flesh and know if it's a straight swap ?

AFAIK Will the mounting is different on the 6 speed gearbox of the K1200s so would  wise to check it out well. Not that a new mount couldn't be made as I have considered it myself but never investigated it.

I have a K1200RS Centerstand on my 85 K100.  I am using the 85 K100 Transmission Bracket and the stand bolts right up.  Their is a slight difference with the little post that the spring clips on, I don't recall what the difference was and can't check as my original stand is now gone.

Cheers.

Dave.

The four-bolt base bracket pattern of a K12RS/GT/LT stand is 115mm x 65mm and the K75/K100/K1100 four-bolt base bracket measures 115mm x 80mm.

The centre stands themselves appear to line up to either base, however.

Since I have both types in my garage (the K11 stand is on the bike now for storage purposes but the stand's legs don't clear the back tyre's width) I will try the K12 centre bit on the K11 base.

However, KafeRacer may already be the proof we need.

So back to welding the old one!   mech

Worst case scenario - get one from a k1200 if cheaper and swap the plate and kickstand. Sweet. Thanks guys.

I obtained my complete K1100 main and side stand assembly for just US$39.95, including postage, recently from eBay. They're out there if you keep yer eyeorbs peeled.
