Hi all,

As some of you already know, I have a bit of a "thing" for police bikes, so some time ago, I decided to restore another one.

She's fully equipped with all the police goodies she had back in the day, including the original radio, and even has her original registration.

The finished article.

Comments, feedback and all around love always welcome.

Cheers, Alex.

P.S. Since these pictures were taken, the idiots at the facility where the bike is stored have dropped her on her left side.  Fortunately the damage was limited to the left pannier and left crash bar, so if anyone has either of these items laying around I'd be keen to pick them up.

Wow that looks NICE!

Can I ask a stupid question?  What do you do when you want to ride it?  Having been hassled for black and white checkered reflective tape on my old ZZR1100, I'm sure the cops would go nuts over blue and white??

Good question.

I'm very fortunate to have the legal support of Victoria Police, and the Victoria Police Historical Society, which allows me to operate the vehicle to and from contracted events on the highways and byways of the great state of Victoria, all whilst wearing the correct uniform.

Life is good.

Yes, I have the correct uniform, and ride the bike in uniform quite often wearing it.

Are you active or former police?  Can't believe you can ride it(and in uniform!).  If I tried that here, they would take the bike and throw me in the can.

Neither an active, nor former member, but as I mentioned further up in the thread, I am incredibly fortunate to have the legal support of Victoria Police, VicRoads, and the Victoria Police Historical Society, which allows me to do what I do.
