I will be embarking on a farewell tour with my K this weekend. After working in a local rehab hospital this week I have decided it's time to sell my soul motorcycle. I'll get another one when my kids are grown. To say goodbye I have planned an excellent route from Denver through the heart of the Rockies out to Moab Utah and back. If anyone is interested in tagging along let me know. Thanks for all the advice to keep Klaus up and running. Hopefully in 18 years i will find my self back on a BMW. Crying or Very sad

Same old story. See you in 20 years.
Enjoy the farewell tour and.... while you're out there reflect on life and your family. Unless its a financial decision, I think owning a m/c while bringing up a family would create a lot of interest and focus for growing children. Caring for and maintaining an old machine would provide a good example for them to use in their own lives as they grow. I think it would be an investment of great value to keep the machine... Just something to think about as you're cutting those curves thru the Rockies.

My daughter and son were around 8 when I sold my last bike. They used to always talk about it and that I should've kept it. They're 29/30 now and are both motorcyclists.

Enjoy the tour.
Cheers

UUnfortunately I can't afford a hobby bike. I agree that it would be fun to work on with my kids but just can't justify it. I grew up in the shop with my dad, hopefully I can find a way to get that with my kids. Maybe we'll just move it to the dirt in a couple of years.
