Hi,

I recently bought a K100RS that has a bit of knock at low revs. I want to know if it's possible to replace the big-end shells without stripping the motor.

It's going to need a rebuild at some stage but I'd like to make it last a bit longer before I need to go that far. It's my only transport right now.

Also, is there a convenient point where I can fit an oil pressure gauge? I'd like to keep a close eye on this rather than just waiting for the day when a red light comes on and tells me it's too late.

Thanks a lot for any tips.

what do you call the big-end shells?

For the oil presure, you could replace the oil pressure sensor with one fitted for an oil pressure gauge. some K75s or K100 LTs have the optional oil pressure gauge
