On the K100 Jetronic system, the throttle position sender also has a function that cuts out the fuel injection when the revs are at certain level. Is this also true for the K1100 Motronic syetm?

Both Jetronic and Motronic cuts the signal to the injectors when the engine rpm is above 2000 and the throttle is closed.

On a Motronic the ECU cuts the Fuel at 2000RPM the TPS just tells the ECU what position the throttle is all the way through the range. Unlike the TPS on a K100/K75 which has switches for closed and wide open.

Thanks Inge & Rick,

Hi Rick, I was aware of the operational difference, between the on/off nature of the Jetronic and the complete range of the Motronic, but others may not have been.
