Yeah, no worries. Happy to help.

I just checked the map of Maine to refresh a long-forgotten memory. My American grandpa built a cabin on the Maine side of Balch Pond near Shady Nook back after the hurricane of '38, using the timber he, my dad and my two uncles cut. I visited there a few times in the late '70s before he passed and my gran sold the property. It was spectacular to run and leap off the dock into that cold, clear water, sunfish all around. The loons would make such a haunting call of a morning. I swam and fished all day. On Golden Pond, literally.

I had to look up Balch Pond. It's not terribly far from me. Less than an hour's drive. That's a fairly big pond. We are spoiled in Maine. We have incredible lakes and ponds. My aunt was from Indiana. One year, her mother came to visit. We took her to Sebago Lake for a swim. She wanted to know if that was the ocean.
