Hi there,

I am finally putting parts back on the frame and the bike starts to look like a bike Very Happy. Fairing (all parts of it)  are at the paint shop. Will get them back on May - perhaps. While installing electric parts and wiring harnesses, I found three connectors for which I could not find a mating piece. Can anyone tell me what these are for? The connectors are circled in the pictures.

Thanks in advance.

Can't see the wire colours, but I'll say the two pin connector is for heated hand grips (optional) the three pin, upper in the second pic, hazard lights (optional)  and the four pin to the ignition switch. They could be confirmed with a coloured wiring diagram.

Heated grips.  green/black
                          brown

Hazard.            yellow/violet
                         white/blue
                         brown

Ignition.            red
                         grey/blue
                         green
                         grey

In the second photo, the lower switch probably is for the "choke" switch. Does the yellow "choke" light come on when you turn the "choke" on?

It would help a lot if you could take some photos that show the wire colors.

Heated grips is 3 wire on K1100. Had to replace switches on mine. Same one for K100.

Is there ABS on that K?

Under tank left side clutch switch? Location fits. But same connector for brake switch and choke switch.

.

I'm a bit wondering if it's later model wiring (and Vin) with early model frame? Then again I was struggling just to get the columns lining up.

I think I see early model tank support brackets on the frame. On my early model (and late model and wiring diagrams) the heated grips has two pins. They are flat pins in a T arrangement as in the photo.  It has round pins for the choke switch which are a bit further down the loom.

I think I can see the clutch plug above the red circle, and the sneaky little choke plug hiding under the hazard plug.

Mine has the brake plugs on the right side.

Yes to this ^^

Assuming K100 and not K1100: top to bottom

- additional instruments
- hazard switch
- heated grips

Colours as per Daveyson.

Thank you for your valuable comments Very Happy

There is no ABS in my bike - museum quality Laughing . It seems that 2-pin (T-arrangement) and 3 pin connectors match with Daveyson's wire colouring.

Instead, the colors of the white flat connector wires are as follows:
- braun
- blue/gray
- yellow
- green/black (there are 2 g/b coloured wires in a same pin)

I am pretty sure, that I have connected every switch, sensors and so on that I have in my bike. Have I forgotten/lost something? Those two small connectors I do understand now, but I am a bit confused about the flat white connector. I took hundred pics during the dismantling, but - of course - no specific pics about that area. Embarassed

Any ideas?

Yep, like Dai mentions, its for additional instruments (optional) for example for a fuel level gauge connection.
