A while back a fellow member posted a how-to on wiring in aftermarket handlebar switches for bmw k75's and 100's, unfortunately I am not able to see any of the photos posted in the original forum discussion. Looking to wire in aftermarket handlebar switches on my K and any help would be great, electrical is my weakest point unfortunately

That's sometimes one of the drawbacks when off-site photo hosts are used. From this post—which possibly could be the post to which you referred—I downloaded them from new tabs by clicking on the question marks. Here they are in order of their appearance. Each diagram is labeled at the bottom to correspond with discussion in the text.

I had my bikes controls rewired to some generic handle bar switches before I decided to go completely custom with the whole bikes electrics and engine management system. It's really not that hard to do. I recommend you locate the wiring diagram for the bike you have. If you need help you can drop me your bikes model and I can get you the proper wiring diagram. Essentially it's just identifying what wires are in the diagram and collecting them to the proper switch. Sometimes it helps to take a multi meter to the original switches to find out what the wiring is doing if something's being weird. Most of the switches are simple on off. Some go to dedicated wires on both sides, others are common grounded, but the wiring diagram explains all that.
