Went for a 200km spin yesterday, all well, halfway through trip Speedo quit. Then close to home it worked all the way back.
Did a search and did the soldering gun thing, the Speedo registered. However, with the soldering gun humming away and the Speedo needle showing about 40kph, I stared wiggling wire connections, all fine. Then gave the Speedo cluster a tap, speedo quit. I assume it is a bad connection in the cluster. What connections are likely at fault? I have the k75s, is there an easy way to get at the back of the cluster?

Description of your problem with a solution in this thread.
Speedometer quit while riding, Weller iron Dscf2010

Only way to the insides of the cluster is to remove it from the mount and undo the back cover.

Great picture. Put it on centre stand in second gear speedo no workie. At fast idle gave cluster a little tap now workie. May limp along with just using the tach till we get a string of rain days or maybe till season end when I plan to do steering head bearings.
