I have a 1985 K75C in Melbourne, Australia.

Many thanks to Halo for saying hello at some lights in Canterbury road and taking the time to have a yarn in the Bunnings Carpark and mentioning this forum.

Mind you - the sticker on the back of his top-box certainly pointed me in the right direction;)

Looking forward to finding some gems here for rides, and restoration tips.

Welcome mate
I hope you didn't fall for halo's old "give me the $50 membership fee and I'll make sure you are accepted" line.

What! He doesn't have potential new members washing and polishing his bike anymore.

Welcome to the forum neilwal and don't worry, we are crazy but once in a while, we can get serious too.
Hope you'll find a lot of technical help and maybe new riding mates from this forum. We are an international community, but I have to admit that Australia is very well represented here.

Cheers

Cf

You'll find all that and more amongst your Auzzie bretheren and when they're tapped out there's the rest of the world to help. Lets have some pics of the k75c ....I want one of those!

Hehehe - no - he didn't try the $50 dollar join fee routine this time.

Halo spoke well of CF though, and his bike, after a 600K+ ride looked like he's polished it himself, better than any newcomer would achieve.

I'll post some pics when I find the camera (the phone camera is pretty ordinary).

Main jobs to do on the bike at the moment include possible fuel tank replacement, investigation of the rear seal (which dripped a tiny bit a while ago but seems to have been fine the last 12 months) and prettying up the metal and plastic surfaces, including rims (one of which is pitted). It's in pretty good nick overall though.

Thanks to all for the welcome Laughing

If the fuel tank is leaking from the low part under the tank or for that matter anywhere try using this
http://www.permatex.com/products/product-categories/specialized-maintenance-repair/professional-repair-systems/permatex-fuel-tank-repair-kit-detail
Many here have had great success with it and it lasts at least 5 years, that I can say for sure.

Welcome neilwal.

Don't look at Halo's resto thread. When I do, I just get depressed. Very Happy

He really should start a resto business!

Just made it to page 13 of Halo's thread. GEEEZ! Will have to finish it tomorrow night

It was the 86 I saw on Sunday and it sounded sweet as tore out of the carpark.

I have a Clymers manual, much loved and well greased, so should be able to do some basics.

The knowledge here is blowing me away. Photos to come soon.
