Evening everyone! I'm Pete and bought my white/blue K100 RS on a G plate with 91000 miles on the clock today!
She's up together mechanically but needs some tlc!
Have ridden K's before and had an 1100 GS until August 2010 when I needed to sell due to family commitments
Anyway, enough of that nonsense, it's great to be a part of the forum and I look forward to lots of chat about the iconic K, not to mention the banter!

Yes mate, found it on Gumtree in the end. Had looked on all the usual sites for some time but couldn't find anything local. Saw this one in Edenbridge.
Like I said, it's all good mechanically, just needs some tlc. I have a feeling there may be an ABS issue but I'll get that squared away if it comes to it

Moto-Works or Moto-Bins are great sources of new and second hand spares and of course there is also flee-bay and always worth looking at the forum

Welcome from Coulsdon! - I have various parts accumulated including battery (bought new one - shouldve just topped up), alternator, fan, ht leads spare lt cockpit etc etc. Give me a shout if need any of these.
ABS reset is easy peasy - theres a link somewhere on the site with instructions - or email me
Plus I know a good ex bmw mechanic on the A23 if you need help
I struggle with posting pictures - you have to click one of the icons above "host an image" and fiddle around, or copy and paste a very low res image.

Hi Pete, I'm based near Billingshurst, so you can't be far away? Having also just bought a bike, it would be good to compare notes as we're probably going through the same process of gradual restoration.

I also tried re setting the ABS without success. PM me if you want to meet up.

Check out the notes here and if it still doesnt work like my ABS then send it to Tosi and he does a good job of fixing it.
