Hi everyone I have recently picked up a sidecar and I'm looking to fit it to my k1100 .Wondering if anyone has any plans or good photos showing the subframe required and best points to attach it on the frame of the bike. At the moment I have  no mounts on the chair it's a basic square chassis with torsion type suspension and a 10" mini wheel . So I will have to fabricate the subframe and all connecting bars . Does anybody know of a good adjustable type of mount system  available in AUS  or a source for some sort of turnbuckle that may suit , sure I saw someone post something about the adjustable rods they used somewhere a while ago .  will post some pics of chair soon . I will send photos of the cradle that conects to front top and goes around and under the motor and bolts to gear box in place of rear stand.
It's at the sand blaster I will have it back tomorrow.

Yep, sure is.  The two front tabs bolt to that plate shown in your other pic.

I'll try to dig through my photos to see if there is a photo with that detail.  From memory there is a little trimming along the lower edge of the radiator panel, a small piece cut away at the lower edge for the mount to stick through and if you are fitting a steering damper there is a chunk cut out of the front edge and replaced with a fibreglassed in half-tube to give steering damper clearance.  

Ron (HRD) eventually just made a mould of the radiator panel with all the mods included and just replaced the panel instead of modding them to save time.  Highway Sidecars may have that mould.

you're right there Al . the radiator shroud has some mods for the linkage to poke out the side, with additional moulding for a damper rod. 

Aus did you get a chance to eye off any outfits at Tottenham ? 
Steve Treloar's blue RT outfit has exactly the same subframe as Waz's.  fitted with a John Marshall 1 1/2 seater chair ( DJP look a like) and 10' mini wheel.

from the looks of it , a very simple design to work with , and would suit the DJP very easily.

Steve Treloars blue outfit was the one I was referring too.  The subframe is from Mick Mathesons K100RT outfit, I got the leading link.  He already had the John Marshall sidecar but fitted to an R100RT before he bought the K.
