I was just out walking 2 of the mutts, when a silver K100RS rode past on Rusden Rd.  I'm pretty sure I've seen it before, a very tidy 83/84/85 model (handles in the seat).  This time I spotted Black and White 2 letter/2 number NSW plates, the letters could be MP.

Anybody here?

Al

A few sundays back I did the loop from Inverell-Glen innes-Guyra-Tingha-Inverell. Between Glen and Guyra I saw 3 K100s or K1100s, all going north and all red, and not as a group, each travelling alone. If they were anybody here I was on the white R100GS going south. I thought it was a bit amazing.

I love how you are all are still vigilant and still acknowledge each other and the bikes you saw on your rides.

Whats happened to all the riders these days? no more nods or waves on passing? It used to be great in the early 80's and 90's before I left for Asia to live and work, everyone used to acknowledge each other as they rode pass.

Keep it up. It's great to know that there still riders out there that care.

i have to say there was a fantastic amount of faringed bikes heading north on our way to Krr and heading south (on our way home ) to brisvegas

have to say ,,,of these blokes there was a good commitment to the nod or wave by almost all (more than 150 ) along the path of all sorts  rather than the spread eagle . ape hangers that we also saw along that path ...who shall not be mentioned because they chose not to comply with fellow biking communities outside their own breed ...

nothing more to say .......

Charlie, on the way home I did see one of the putt putt drivers wave from behind his barn door of a fairing. That was probably the bit where I nearly crashed due to the shock of it all.  affraid

But then again he may have been giving me the finger after you waved at him first.  K100RS spotted - lower Blue Mountains 44271

I get quite a few nods and waves, mostly on the open road especially if I'm loaded up, but never from the dark side.

Around here most riders still wave, even the Hardley riders.  The only ones I don't wave to are those CanAm three wheelers.  I just can't acknowledge that they are bikers.  Then again, they don't usually wave either.

Tagged Me!  The Rego is MB-78 and it's my 85 model RS. Right now it's in Margaret River WA as I just finished the charity ride from Sydney in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. I mentioned in my intro that I found out about the forum on the ride and joined en route so have been a member for less than a week.

Mate thanks for the offer but can't take it up as I am sitting in a jury room back in Penrith Courthouse waiting to see if I get called. :|  I appealed the call up but they knocked it back so I had to attend. Obviously couldn't ride back in 48 hrs!!

If you spot a red K100 sidecar usually with one or more dogs hanging out, a faded red K100RS or a multicoloured hues of red, brown and carbon fibre patchwork K100RT that'll be me.  I'm just at the beginning of Mt Riv.
