Needing of new tyres, going to get sports demons
Does anyone know if a 140 tyre will fit in to replace the 130 rear tyre?
On a completely stock 1985 K100RS
Cheers

yes , we call them Plus 1's 140 x 80 x 17 .....careful there are a couple of versions out now ...make sure you get the ones with the groove crossing the centre line around the circumference ...else they will feel more like a radial

have used a few of them over the years

Big yes on Sport Demons.

Replaced the front, because of advice here.

Noticeably gripped well, pointed well.  Good in the wet.

...and not the back, checking along the way, that I actually had back brake...didn't, after a crash.
Collarbone.

Had not replaced that one yet.  Paint stripes in the wet can be slippery.

Was very used to using to downshifting and front brake only, (sport bike history, ridden hard,) to slow down, and didn't notice that fluid had gone.
My bad.  Didn't pre flight the bike properly.

What is that?
Walk around checking all fluid levels. Check tire pressure with thumb..Smile
Look for stuff that could cause a problem.

Why say this?
Because hope this might help others in our crowd avoid the same consequences.

Regards,
JimK
