Hi, the standard headlamp unit in a faired K bike looks to be the same. Can someone who knows for sure just confirm back for me please?
Many thanks.
Nigel

"Are all K100RS/RT/LT headlamps the same"

Yes, ...the very early models was silver inside the housing while later was black.

Yes and no. The early ones have a locking ring to hold the H4 bulb in. The later ones have a pinch style clip to hold the H4 in, making it much easier to replace the headlight bulb.

Along with K100 RS/RT/LT, they also fit the K75RT, K1, K1100RS and K1100LT.

Hi Duck,
Do you know when the changeover happened?
I have a 1988 build K100RS and am looking at a 1985 headlamp.  Is it possible to swop the later fitting to the earlier unit?

Regards
Nigel

Sometime after 1990. My 1990 K75RT had the ring type.

It's part of the reflector construction.

The lenses are all the same. (except for the difference between left-hand drive and right-hand drive)
