Hi guys

Taking up from a previous thread, the Kingdom, it's now the middle of May and if this run is to be done we need to start organising B&B's time off, etc.
I would suggest that this should be the summer run but again Olaf or 88 would have the final say.

At least one overnight possibly two would be required for some so let's see some interest, let's put some dates up  for June or July see which  days are most popular.

This is the second attempt at this run so let's try and do it this time.

Excellent idea for this.

However....easier said than done.

88  has Alex doing exams in early part of June, definitely 3 and 10 June gone.

18 June being Father's Day that's gone too. June 24 is Magda's workshop day.

June 25 and July 1/2 is Indian036 visit to Dublin.

July 8/9 88 and Alex are heading on K  to France and down to BobT and leaving bike down there

My eldest is coming back from London for a visit July 28th

August kind of works a bit better I think.

September out for me as 88 and myself back to France, I am out from 2-23 and eldest back for 29 September.

Am heading up to ABR at Draperstown with Will tomorrow morning and we can see what might work as he is keen to do it. I think his last visit down south was when he picked up the K1100 end of 2015!

July or August works best for me as Olaf said. Bike won't be a problem

Perhaps we should slot it in instead of the traditional Mid August Stradbally meet?

Seems like 3 intrepid K1's will be present on the day at the South Pole Inn - which, in the annuls of BMW Irish motorcycle history - is a record event. We're looking forward to celebrating that prestigious meeting - with at least a penguin (bar) and a coffee, before the blizzards envelope us for the entire winter;-))

Sorry to say I have family commitments that day, and possibly the Sunday as well, so can't even co-ordinate a meeting in Glengarriff.

By the way, on the Cork road out of Glengarriff there is a brilliant cafe - Jim's Cafe. Just outside the town.  I have gone to Glengarriff just to have lunch there.

Nice pics and some cracking good weather. Good to hear you all had an enjoyable weekend.

Sorry I couldn't make it, but I spent the ferry money (and some!) on Cold Play concert tickets (in Cardiff) for me and my daughters instead after a total cow (now ex-friend of my youngest daughter) let her down (badly) by selling her ticket to someone else a week before the concert:ang:
