Hey Guys,

I'm currently in the process of taking apart my K100LT ABS and found a box in the rear cowl which I believe to be the immobiliser. Am I right?

If so if I remove it how am I able to bypass it? The same principle goes for an alarm I found underneath the seat which seems to have a dozen wires coming out of it which makes me think I remove it the whole bike won't work. Please tell me if I'm completely wrong but if I'm right how would I go about removing it?

Thanks
DBRMN

It's more likely to be the ABS control unit.

That is a very good point, so removing it won't effect whether the bike starts then?

Not if it's the ABS module.

P.S. Have you accessed the following information page:

If not, please do and sit back for a good read.

Wow that is an amazing set of documents thank you so much!! However I still can't find anything about an alarm, is the alarm aftermarket?

ABS module in the rear cowl, but on some ex-police models it's under the seat in what is normally the tool tray!! A clue is often the calibrated speedo.
