[*]A few weeks ago I managed to pickup an jumping castle air blower from our local recycle yard at the dump for $5.00 Au. I find it handy for blowing out leaves and dirt out of my workshop plus cooling engines while working on them. Very handy on air cooled engines, I have a mate with an R100 which can overheat while you are working on it and I was going to make a splitter to try and cool both barrels. Since buying the first blower for $5.00 Au the prices shot up to $50.00 Au under new management.  I did my weekly campout and managed to score another one for $8.00 Au. So guys if you need to cool engines it might be worthwhile checking out your local recycle yards or wherever junk congregates.

Funny

I bought an identical yellow metal one from my "recycling" outlet for a fiver about 6mths ago.

Had intended to use it for a blacksmithing forge via a foot switch.

Just yesterday, I was playing with the RS trying to balance the throttle bodies (but #1 idle screw was not responding) and the bike boiled over and green coolant was bubbling up out of the coolant overflow over the LHS and down the driveway. PO installed an electric switch for the fan - something not working.

Now if only I'd seen this post I could've kept going for hours.

Am hoping to collect BMW switch this afternoon and get it wired up.

Am keen to check throttle balance at 4000 rpm - right where the vibrations are (as per Rob Lentini's post back in either 1995 or 2001 - on motobrick forum)

They are real handy for multiple uses. I have been doing a fair bit of wood work on a Brick project. I ended up with a garage full of sawdust. I sat both on the floor of the garage and used my shop vac set on blow to blow everything into the blowers path. Took all of ten minutes to clean out the garage. Only trouble is a couple of mates now want me to get fans for them. They're too lazy to get up early enough to go to the dump. You have to be early like the night before to get the good stuff. Ends up with rather a long queue.

You know the old saying Gryph the early bird gets worms. Who in their right mind wants worms. I don't!!
However blower fans and a XT 500 alloy tank and other bits You Bewdy.
