Hello, I have Just succumbed to the K100 bug and bought myself a 1985 K100RS. The back break was not working when I purchaced it so I have had a look and the callipers are moving well but there is no pressure and the lever was very spongy so I was thinking it needs bleeding. Here comes the problem, I have always used my handy Motrax Little bleeder in the past so tried again. Unfortunatly when I remove the rubber cap and losen up the nipple nut slightly to let the fluid through, the fluid pours out from behind the nut as well as into the Bleeder tube. This is stopping the system from being air tight so I cant bleed it properly. Has anyone any ideas? I tried a small rubber washer but this still made the fluid pour out and wouldnt close properly?

Cheers

Try wrapping some PTFE (plumbing) tape around the threads. I haven't tried this myself but it might work and wont cost much.

Cheers mate, PTFE tape worked a treat, but had to really load thread up, nipple screw was rusty on top but screw just didn't feel tight enough, the PTFE tape tightened it up and sealed it nicely, I now have nice and powerful back brakes, laid a nice black strip down the drive way when testing them, whoops
