Huh. The Dragon Rally was held there this year. As for that BMW: it looks like some giant took the parts in one hand and placed them one on top of another without bothering to check alignment. It's awful, like so many are.

[edit] Sorry - meant to say the Dragon Rally was held there a few years ago.

I like the clear crank cover. Does it have a clear cam cover also? Would be interesting with the engine running.

At least your knees won't hit the fairing. (I have long legs and can't wear knee armor on my K1.)

Not so bad afterall...There's a nice job about the visual strong lines. But the usual gimmicks (short tail, full floater horizontal suspension) and the failed front fender are ruining the project .

Some great work on that, especially the way the tank's line has been continued into the fairing - best incorporation of the Insane Polygon (aka fuel tank) I've seen. Nice touch is the retention of the K1 signature eighties rectangular headlamp.
I'd have tried a squarer back end, to match the headlamp lines. The ducktail seems a little out of sync.
Front mudguard is a missed opportunity to do another nod to the K1 with a part enclosed job at least over the top of the wheel to match the fairing line.
It deserves something more original (and functional  Embarassed) than the 'stock custom' retrorides rear suspension mauling too.
One of the best though  Smile.

That fairing reminds me of an MV Augusta America (sigh, dribble, drool) from the front.

Yeah, I wondered that, too. I s'pose if you'd simpy held onto it for 'future value.'

Bend OR is just round the bend from here, about 5 hours away.

He's not fully informed, the seller, as he's had multiple corrections on the bike's specs, like Monolever rather than Paralever, & etc. So far no one has told him it's not Motronic 2.1 but LE-jetronic fuel injection. I couldn't resist, so signed up and commented - politely.

My ex-bike K100RS in Australia, now owned by Charlie, was originally Motorsport livery, resprayed by the previous owner/importer who brought it in from Europe. I'd ditch that ghastly red upholstery quick smart!
