Welcome Jakey,

Just read an article in the latest copy of the UK Motorcycle News.  Sounds like a cracker of a place to ride and leaves the Alpes for dead.

It's now on the bucket list.

Cheers, Dave.

New member from Norway 177912 I've been drumming up support from a group of friends to ride the E6 from Oslo to Isnestoften in the next couple of years. I also desparately want to ride the Trolltunga Pass.

Thanks Simon,

Yeah, I have heard it is expensive and visiting Inge would have to be a bit like a pilgrimage.  Has the banner been to Nordkapp?

The earliest I will be able to go is in about four years time, so lots of time to prepare.  I would be leaving from the UK, most likely Devon and my first concern would be the best ferry route to get there.  Minimum of two weeks.

Anyway, I have been toying with the idea of keeping one of my 75s in Europe for quite a while.  No need for annual MOT if you live in my part of Oz, so having a suitably prepared bike would be upon me.  Just keep paying the rego and suitable insurance.

So Dai, what is a reasonable expectation to get from north to south for your trip?  About 1,700km in distance would be a lot slower than I am used to.

Having watched Free Jimmy and read Jo Nesbo, what's not to like?

Apologies Jarle, if we have hijacked your intro.

Cheers, Dave.

Near 7500 Km/4700 miles, including three ferry crossings, one of which is overnight. Also, I wouldn't want to do it in less than three weeks, otherwise I'd never get to actually see anything. That's still 200 miles a day.

Nah - better make it a month.
