Hello everyone.

q: do I need to get a ratcheting wrench set that includes the 19mm?   What on the K bikes is more than 18 mm?

I can't think of anything on the bike that takes a 19mm wrench.  The shock mounts are 18mm or 3/4" if that's what you have.  The swing arm and steering head use large wrenches as well as the clutch nut.

Locknut on the swing arm pin is a 27mm I believe. Not sure about 19mm.

I have to have a 19mm in my tool kit but can't remember what for. I have 17 and 18mm as well.

Rear shock top mount, sump drain plugs, rear wheel bolts come to mind. I know something uses it.

Olaf, I believe you are correct on the shock mount bolt being a 19.

A 19mm open-end wrench can be used on the flats of the camshafts to rotate them for checking valve clearances.

A 22mm open-end wrench can be used to grip the flats of the fork tube spring retainer when a stubborn hex head screw is being removed to enable replacement of fork oil.

Yes to both of the above comments on the need for a 19mm spanner. Or socket, if you're sneaking up on the rear shock mount.

Okay, alright, so you need a spanner on the inside if the wheel is still on. Otherwise two sockets will do nicely.

Yes, I've finished. For now  Just bought 85 K100 ' LT ' -tool question 1f606

Dai thats it. I have towbars on the Ks but to be fair the wheel comes out quite easily. But to remove the rear shock single handed it is easier to leave the wheel on and wedge it it at the right height and just pull the shock. Hence the 19mm spanner.

You need 2 10mm spanners in the kit too.......
