G'day my name is Phil, from country South Australia. I have been riding motorcycles since I was 16 years old and now 64. I recently purchased an ex-South Australian Police 1987 K100 and was unaware at the time, but I had actually purchased my previously issued motorcycle, whilst I was serving in Sapol from 1971-2014. I am in the process of returning the bike to its former glory, as issued to me. The only other BMW that I had previously owned was an R25 sidecar outfit and yes, it did pull the sidecar quite well, considering the engine size. I find this and other similar sites to be a great benefit to being a K100 owner as well as the opportunity to share experiences with others. I am looking forward to being part of this forum.

Reunited! What a terrific story. Welkome to the forum. We could use another Aussie to shore up the ranks.
