Took a ride up to Hurricane Ridge (5,200 feet) in the Olympic Mountains today.  Last week there was a snow dump above 4,000 feet and there was still a little left in the parking lot today.

That's my local K buddy Paul from Seattle. I met him about ten years ago when he was looking for his first K and asked me for help. He doesn't do his own wrenching so I ended up being his mechanic.  And we get along well so we often go riding together.

Last time I rode up their they tried to charge us separately for entrance for two bikes. I argued that we only had a total of 4 wheels. We ended up being admitted on my cold card. My negotiation succeeded because we were holding up traffic while being stubborn.
