Hi all

My name is Seppe, I live in a small village north of Antwerp.

My current ride is a '91 K100 LT, with 65K-ish miles on her. Currently no speedo, so mileage isn't very accurate. Working on a fix, with some help from the lovely people on this forum Smile

It used to be a Polizeiweiss bike with a lot of options, so my guess is it used to be an official vehicle of some sorts but got exported to Belgium for some reason or the other.

Hello from Belgium Bmwk1010

Welcome to the Forum, plenty of people have fixed their speedo's and there are many threads on the subject. Use the google search on the portal tab to find them.

Try taking out the sensor at the final drive and cleaning it before you get into anything Heavier.

Thanks for the tip! Tried that, also tried 2 other sensors but no success.
I tested the cable running to the speedo and that checks out as well.
Got another speedo but it has wrong type of connection: I need round pins and not the flat ones. Apparently that's a thing  roundel

Going after a speedo with round pins some time this week. I'll keep you posted. I'm not in a rush, as my rear brake is getting a revision at the moment Smile Fighting on two fronts and all that Wink
