Two nuts locked together on the stud, put your spanner on the inner nut and unscrew. You might want to hit the stud with a torch to heat it up in case they used that damn red Loctite on it. If corrosion has been an issue on other fasteners you might also want to keep it wet with penetrating oil for a few days prior to removal.

Update on the rear shock lower stud which is screwed into the final drive: if you require the 12 x 60mm version it's 07 12 9 908 096 for US$2.97 and there are still 392 available in Germany. If it's the 12 x 70mm version you want, it's 33 11 2 310 063 for US$4.56 and there is just shy of 200 available in Germany.

Don't let your dealer tell you they can't get 'em.
