Hello all. Busy getting on with getting on with the K. Done the brakes (as mentioned elsewhere), changed all the oils now (engine, gearbox, final drive), and ALL were B L A C K! Not had chance to get out on it yet, but am sure the changes can only do it some good! (I was begining to get annoyed at the thing finding false neutrals all over the place, up and down the gear box - downright dangerous actually). Just wanted to ask y'all, 'has anyone managed to mount a sat nav to a K100RS without any major issues, and if so how?' (a few pics would be nice). Plus where did you put the power supply?

The best place to get power for a GPS is the feed to the front parking light.
About the mounting, just use the Google search engine on the forum and you will see all kind of examples.

If all the oils were black it could be the previous person who changed the oil used either MoS2 or Graphite suspension in the oil that would account for the gearbox and final drive oil being black.

I just bought some supplies from RAM Mounts in USA. They just arrived yesterday. You buy the components as required for your bike application and device application. I haven't tried to fit them yet, but it looks simple enough. Check the website and let me know if you need part numbers.

Will that not affect the bulb monitoring unit?

No. Contrary to what the diagram would have you believe, the pilot light is not monitored.

As I use my satnav (with clock) on all journeys I didn’t really need the (constant drain) dash clock so I cut that feed in the relay box and use it for the gps. Now I can use the gps before powering up anything else. Works for me.
