Took out key from ignition and put back in....could not turn to second click???(on position)

So I took the key out of the ignition and when put back in could'nt get it to go to the second "click". Took 15 minutes to get it to the run position. Shocked

Any ideas?

Hi Bill sounds like the pin is jamming, you can try WD40,or PULL CYLINDER out and do a full cleanup,Good luck with it Very Happy

Ignition switch cleaning instructions. It's likely the entire mechanism in yours will need it eventually anyway.

Thanks for the help. I did get it going with a few squirts of Electronics cleaner and some spray electronics lube.
Looking at the Helpful Instructions for cleaning the switch I thinkI will do a full clean soon.
