Hello to all just to start a thread on the forum  

Does anyone know  of anything or what might be happening to celebrate the 40th years ? 

England and Spain have their K Fest

The BMW Motorcycle Club Canberra are organising something.  Other than a date (27-29 May 23) I know nothing else though. You can register your interest at a link on the site.

That last weekend in May is usually when we have the Rossco run to Bathurst so maybe Saturday at the Mountain then on to where ever the 40th will be held. Only a very maybe at the moment.

Yes I know about this but it was only an  EOI expression of interest and I don't know if anything has progressed  

Do you have  the club president contact details  I think its  Gary Smee  but I'm always wrong if you listen to my wife

Thanks for your inquiry.  At this time there isn't too much enthusiasm amongst the Club Committee or members for a big event.  Looking more like a local BBQ.
 
It is also BMW's 100 Year anniversary, so like your Club's planned Queen St Mall show, I am also working on a local event.
 
BTW, it is also the Oilheads 30th anniversary.

Another two suggestion that has come through from the guys on facebook are 

1) After the Bathurst ride is to go to Nabiac motorbike museum   
2) After the Bathurst ride is to go to Canberra and do a Snowy mountains loop

Us Queenslanders will have warmer weather camping at MT Perry for the annual BMW Cane Toad Rally then 4 weeks later in Canberra for the Anniversary ? ? ?      A lot cooler no doubt !    How do you do all this shit ( Dan ) when you have a job and not retired yet ?
