I got my first BMW bike last year, switched from a KLR-650 to a 1987 K100RT and wished I had done it sooner. Been to cold to get a full days riding in since I got it. The forum here is great, I started researching the K bikes early last year and read the posts here. Hope everyone had great New Year.

Hi kbet

I'm new too. You live in a tremendous area for riding. I was out to Asheville two years ago and rode Deal's Gap. Well, actually I drove it in a rental Mercury ... couldn't find a rental bike. Still, exciting roads and excellent pavement. You'll be riding again much sooner than those of us up in Canada.

Cheers
CaperKen
