I just noticed that I have not completed my duty here.


Karuah River rally to be held on 1th-12th February at Frying Pan Creek campsite in Chichester State Forest (ie same old, same old).  BYO everything, no catering, some firewood should be provided.  If weather conditions (ie large amounts of precipation) mean that the causeway is running too high to access the rally site (or threatens to) the rally will be relocated the showground in Dungog.  We have to allow for this as there is still no bridge on the other access road.  Usual awards, badges etc.  Marie and I will be there on Friday afternoon, this will be the first rally outing for the 1.8 litre horizontally opposed sidecar.

The date is pencilled into the diary.  I'll also nominate Rick and Charlie as well and I expect it will be a Friday arrival.  

Matt , is already an early withdrawal but I expect his Grumpy will be travelling up for it.  

Gaz, you will you be a day tripper again, or is that only if it rains?

Boys, hope you have good riding for your trip south and pleasant camping conditions.

As it turns out I will be on two wheels through next weekend but will be heading further south so will miss the Karuah jaunt.

Hopefully I’ll make the Southern Run and see some of you there.

Rick, I am planning on heading down on the Friday.  I expect you are thinking the same?

I was planning leaving early as I have a few things to do on the way so it may suit you to catch up along the way. Finally got rid of the Covid bug so I figure I am safe to do as I wish for the next 5-6 weeks. BTW I will be going down the New England to Singleton. There is a bed here if you want. for Thursday night and you can check out the K75 Stuff I have.
Marg wont be here as she is going to her sisters place at Gold Coast and I could drop stuff at your place when I go to pick her up the next week.

For a while, I had an idea of a logo for a K bikes meeting.
I finally concertized this idea into a design.
Please feel free to use it for your rally. Hopefully, everybody will have a fantastic time.
BTW, no rallies in Canada for a while. Yesterday was -25c

The Karuah River Rally is an event held by the BMW Touring Club of NSW (2nd oldest motorcycle rally in Australia.  We K owners are just attendees, although some of us are members of the club (I am editor of the clubs newsletter).  So the K100 forum guys have no sway over this event, it runs with us or without us.

Gerty's output shaft finally tossed it so won't make this one.

Had pulled into Nowendock just for a look see ... and on leaving going through the gears   she let go with lots of noise  whist clutch out in gear   in nrutral   quietish all the same.

A pull apart and updates comming later this week.

Turns out that the clutch splines ripped the clutch centre out,  yet anothrr reminder to lubricate more often.
Fortunatly i have spares almost ready to go  , but going in deep to do the outputshaft in any case  , been far to long and far too many killometers since ive been in there   2011 from memory
