Just tidying up some wiring on 16v k100, I think the bike had an alarm before I bought the bike, I have three white wires I can trace as far back to above the centre stand, not sure if they are original as they have joins with tape, odd connector and a soldered wire,
3 white wires, 1 doubles back on itself, one goes to a connector and the other I cut so as to reroute the wires from rubbing on the centre stand I will put a proper connector on it.

The wire that comes from the connector goes to the top fuse in the fuse box.

The cut wire goes to the “connector above” that connects to nothing.

The other wire from the “connector above” goes to whatever the thing is mounted to the front of the battery holder.
Any help appreciated

Sidestand switch?

I looked at the side stand has no wires or a switch that I can see, bike starts with the stand up or down, the bike also runs if I disconnect the wires, I will attempt to follow the wires,

One of the white cable looks like its going to a relay in photo two  

• What terminal position is it connected to? 
  
• I'm not across the layout of the relays on the 16v Version but do you know what that relay is doing ?     
  

Its looks like you have an additional Relay so I would be trying to work out what / where its being controlled from

As you mentioned it might be any of the following 

• An alarm 
  
• An early camera   
  
• An early radar detector 
  
• An early heated vest          
  

Do you have ABS on your bike  ?

No abs, was not all there when I bought it, I removed the rest, the wire in pic 2 is spliced into another wire that connects to the top fuse in the fuse box, I need to remove the rear end to clean the sensor as the bike is in 3rd all the time and no neutral light, I will do that soon and I will hopefully be able to trace the origins of the wires, thank you for the reply, it’s the people and all the posts that give me the confidence to maintain my K, cheer’s

The only thing I've seen on the K bikes with 3 (actually 4) white wires was the O2 sensor in the exhaust.  See if you can trace it down to that.

The original exhaust and the 2 I have or had did not have the sensor, I will keep looking, got a few things to do before I get to the wires, not looking forward to cleaning the gear position switch, I keep finding other bits to tidy up, thanks for the answers everyone

Some people don't like side stand switch safety feature, and bypass it. What is the colour of the wires to and from the fuse?

You only need one wire to do that.

The bike starts with the stand up or down, and runs with the wire to the plug disconnected. The engine should stop with the side stand down while in gear. Not familiar with 4V bricks but my Vulcan was like that (or in gear with the clutch in, but then would stall as the clutch was released) Just double checking about the wiring colours though.

The plug might be for an alarm or battery charger or stuff I think of as unimportant, so I'd think of just removing the unnecessary stuff.

I agree I don’t think the wires are important it probably had an alarm, the wires are not original and how they are connected is not factory, thanks for all the answers, if I work out what they are I will post it, cheers everyone
