Hi to the K100-forum,

I currently have a 1987 K100LT in gold trim which I got a couple years back. It sat in a garage for about 15 years before I got my greasy hands on it. Gas tank was badly gunked up, but after a thorough cleaning and other basic maintainance I got it running decently for the past two seasons. Currently I am having some serious problems that are tough to diagnose. Starts fine, but won't rev past 4000 rpm in any gear (not limited like a stuck throttle body but starts to bog down and die), and some added knocking. I assume a fuel issue and I'll start an actual thread if the new fuel injectors on order don't fix the issue. I checked for spun bearing and all looks okay without digging in too much.

As for my BMW experience I own and continuosly try to restore:
1981 BMW 633CSi in Alpine White on ACT gold wheels
1985 BMW e30 318i 2dr in Alpine White (sold Sad )
1985 BMW e30 318i 4dr in Alpine White
1987 BMW K100LT
2003 BMW Z4 with 3.0 swapped engine
Just got a 1972 Porsche 914 CV

This and other BMW threads have been a great help in many endeavors in the past and I'm glad to finally join in the discussion.

Thanks for all the welcomes!

No change with new fuel injectors. The fuel filter was new with the first pump but I will pick up the 3032 and replace. Should have done this with the injectors...

The battery which is only a three year old AGM has been flat multiple times and I just tested it from full charge with nothing hooked up and a couple weeks later was weak, like 12.3v. I didn't think the higher rpm range would be impacted by a poor performing battery, but worth a shot to replace while picking up the fuel filter. Always willing to try the easiest solutions first.

Thanks again,
CaptainHook
