Hello y'all

I recently crashed my 2007 Suzuki Burgman 650 after 13 years of ownership, and the BMW K bikes have always been on my radar.

Nearing my 56th birthday, I want a bike as gentlemanlike and quiet as the Burgman, at a lesser price.

The idea of a suspension system with more than 1 3/4" inch of travel like the Burgman has, also attracts me.

Although the K75's are usually more expensive than its larger siblings, the lack of vibrations of the K75 is very important to me.

Not having a 100 MPH natural speed like the 1000 and 1100's may save me from myself.

Thanks for letting me in.

Welcome!

You might be surprised by the k75. I know for a fact they will do 90mph all day, and do it comfortably.  I have even done 100+ for as long as 40 miles.  They are surprisingly strong engines.

Thanks for the welcome.

Will an RT also do 90 MPH?

All day with luggage if you can hold the throttle open that long.

I plan to install an electronic cruise control, like I did on my Burgman.

BTW, does a SpeedoHealer work with the K75 speedometer? I had one on my Burgman, and I have come to loathe lying speedometers. I want to know my exact speed at any time - which GPS doesn't do- and then I'll decide for myself how much I want to go over the speed limit.

A speedo healer throws off the odometer because it changes the pulse rate.

You can calibrate a K speedo yourself.
