Hello. New owner here. I got a boot load of parts that mostly adds up to about 75% of a 1986 K75s in poor shape.   Be interesting and fun to see how it builds up. All done on the cheap in a cramped garage with four stable mates
Frame has been blasted and painted.
gearbox back attached to engine

Now a rolling ish frame, bar front wheel on as needs a new tyre valve.

Wiring looking sort of on, but have noticed a few connector differences. Mainly being the ignition key although BMW wiring, seems to have a flat rather than round connector. Oil temp single wire has a mismatch between flat and round pin too. and little bits like that.

Need some K75 s bars too, but only seem to see the high ones on eBay etc

Will probably return with some pics if you want, and maybe some wanted's.

JW

Welcome too.

But I am going to upset you a tiny bit since you have it in bits.

When you put the gearbox back on, did you do any assessment of the crankshaft rear main seal? Those are a well known fail point and they are cheap as chips if you have the gearbox off the engine, just the seal and O ring and some clutch bolts. If it has been sitting in a box for a few years its a high risk fail item.

You called?

If it is a 75S that you have then K100RS bars are the same.  Have a look at Motorworks if you are chasing second hand parts in the UK.  They also have new as does Motobins.  Both companies have good reputations.

Oh, and Welkom.

But the crankshaft seal? They will all look new too, unless the PO did it while he had it apart?
