Having just got a k100rs running after being stood in a dry British garage for 14 years   my next issue is the front brake
The lever goes in with no pressure
Is it possible that a bleed might sort it out
Or a master cylinder kit
I have 4 days before I can work on it again and should I just order a kit or is it worth trying to bleed it first    the rear one seems to work
I dont suppose you guys were to start for the other problem the hazards keep flashing if I mess with the switch I can turn them off temporarily
Iv sprayed the switch with wd 40 but no improvement

You should consider taking the piston out and getting it thoroughly cleaned out if mere bleeding doesn't work. That's what I'd try before spending money. You can also inspect the walls of the cylinder bore when you do that. If the bore wall is pitted then a rebuild kit won't help and you'll need to replace the whole thing.

Is it a 16v K100RS1?
If so, RIP the master cylinder. Don't bother buying a refurbish kit.

Chase a R1100 used one, as they are anodised and age better than the K4V ones, or buy a new one for 400€, until they're not available anymore.

Your next issue will be, for sure, the crankshaft main seal leaking on the clutch disc as soon as the engine runes again after sleeping for years. You have the choice: you change the seal or the seal plus the whole clutch if you wan't to try to ride as it is to see what happen...the difference is the price of a new master cylinder.

A K100RS 16V stands for 16 valves. Not 16 Volts. Laughing

How are the front calipers? 2 pistons P08 or 4 pistons?

Put the VIN and year etc in your signature so you get the correct answers.

My 83 RS sat in a shed for 17 years until 2018. I had to replace all the brake lines and master cylinders.

Also, 83 brake calipers are not the same as 84 brakes. You need the R bike kits and not the early K bike kits. Smaller caliper pistons.

A lot of other stuff too, entire fuel lines pump filters seals injectors vacuum pipes Z pipe etc
