Well, now i removed the starter from the parts bike... Well. The parts bike will be upgraded back to new inthe near future.. But for now... I have to get the sidecar setup going..
Heres what i did... Prying lightly..jiggling left and right, extracting the starter out of the case... Yes. I know..yank with my hand and the starter came out... Yes yes..
Bonehead move. You must have used hulk strength 314318 You must have used hulk strength 502531 ..i broke the case...

Ya know what, I will weld that sucker back together now.. I have the technology..

But, i got the fairings and bits to make this an RT

Looking at making an exhaust setup ...
Thanks Rafael!
Its going to be pretty decent if i can pull it off.
Pictures to follow in a new thread..

Anyway.. No ones ever done something as ill conceived as that starter thing... Right?

UNPLUG and remove or totally isolate the ECU before welding! This includes the earth strap and the positive strap from the battery. This be one of those rare truths.

Thanks.
I will not be welding on the bike when i do it.
Good common sense there.
Computers and chipsets do not like high frequency!

At my work,
We sometimes have to weld on downhole tools that have chipsets installed. Ground is your friend.
