That looks very well Bushy, The colour change makes it look much younger. Was the screen on the bike when ou got it or do you know anything about it?

That looks sweet, and those engine spoilers really enhance the looks. Is that an oxymoron? Anyway, I like 'em! Want one. Been looking but no luck so far.

Hey Bushy, that looks wicked, I really like the belly pan, makes it look finished. I wonder why you went for that black looking colour, I know a bloke that has an '88RT very similar, and that's a real good bike too. Can you tell me how Rob's getting on with it. All the best, Dennis

Thanks for your replies,

88KE, the screen was cut down by a previos owner so I added the top section which is aaftermarket handle bar mount screen of my old XJ750, the gap between the two layers acts as an air foil pushing the wind up over my head.

Two Wheels better, the spoiler I found on Ebay $80 Au + postage from USA,... bargain.

Dennis, how's things?, your old bike ventures out quite regularly, Rob is taking good care of her & he is still smiling.

Very nice. I am partial to black... How did you get such a beautiful polish on the muffler?

The colour is not black but a dark grey, depending on the light.

Muffler steel wool, then a good quality metal polish. The guard on the muffler is stainless steel.

Hit a milestone today , 150 000 Km and still going strong.

Before and After Img_2020

Had a few people look over as I took the photo they were amazed at the mileage, comments like you don't see many bikes with that kind of odometer reading etc etc.
All serviced up and ready for the next 150K.

Bushy , some great work there , any chance of a review of your fm set up in the dash. Did you install an earphone jack , or is it wireless?
I have the same dash panel as yours. I haven't yet caught up with the whizz bluetooth generation , although it seems very advantageous.

Grover K,

Check out the Sena SM10 for stereo Bluetooth you can connect to any bluetooth enabled helmet system and the Sena SR10 for a UHF radio setup (mono).  I am investigating this as I found out it will cost me around $600 to upgrade the radio and speakers on my R1100.  May as well stick with the current radio for stationary entertainment and the Bluetooth for on the move.  The write-ups about these all seem to be okay.  I have to update my helmet Bluetooth system (currently Cardo) as well, so am waiting until April when the Sena 20S is due to arrive.

As most Bluetooth helmet systems already have a radio and connection for music player you would be able to hook up a UHF and GPS using the SR10.  Win, win all round.

Gotta like it when a lot of options come together on a bike like this. That $600 for a Sena is for the serious rider only!

I'm upgrading to Bluetooth ear buds this year, and will make a product report later on. Still can't listen to my GPS, but am making headway in getting the unit into the field of view and creating an anti-glare hood.

Question, can't quite make it out from the photo--what are the devices running up on either side of the tank?

Looks great, Bushy. The bellypan creates a nice overall balance. Gonna start looking for one  Before and After 112350

Question: where did you get the headlight protector?
