Hi Guys,

I've fitted a fuel gauge to my 1984 K100RS and it works to the extent it goes all the way up as soon as bike is turned on and stays there, ie it is getting 12v.

AFAIK my bike doesn't have the Fuel Level Sender inside the tank, can these be retro-fitted, or do I need a newer tank?

And if I'm wrong Laughing and it has one already fitted, how (and where from/to) is it wired to the fuel gauge?

Thanks

Steve

Welcome GuitarMan. There are two types of tanks, it sounds like you have an early one, like mine. To be sure whether it is the old style the underneath left side front tank will have a sender unit fitted. If it has a large hex looking black nut and a small electrical plug then you have an early tank. As far as I know the sender unit can not be used for a fuel gauge.
