Great read and photos, guys - and your bikes look immaculate too! Only to be expected, of course.

I must say, I don't know what made me salivate the most - the locations or that breakfast plate lol! Smile

Sorry to hear about your off, Bjorn. Hope you heal properly and quickly.

You mean Björngæslumaður? Well, some years ago she said "no bike ever again", powerfully supported by "You've got BOTH axes?".
Now she has a helmet and Björnsdóttir is a regular on the pillion seat Very Happy. Well, the supporter now only says "don't stop to think about it." ... and I never do Smile

Well done all,
No doubt you were blessed with the weather, I wouldn't want to be out in it now.
Photos and video catch the trip very well.
I will look forward to next year without doubt.

Ah Bjorn it was different when we had Kings and Queens......

In truth it was a very low speed off. I saw the bike afterwards, very little damage. Looks like mirror, plastic cylinder head protector and pannier brackets. More an awkward one. I have seen far worse off a bicycle. Oh, BMW make bicycles too.

I hope it wont put you off or Bjornsdottir for that matter.

Tonight it looks like winter. I know the off was unfortunate but timing was just out by no more than 24 hours.

Bjorn, glad to hear your injuries are temporary, though I must confess I do not heal up nearly as fast as I used to. Perhaps Irishmen (or transplanted Vikings) fortified with Guinness fare better?

Just checked weather forecast for next Saturday 6th October.

Very encouraging.....so much so that I am looking at a trip to Stradbally and Carlow on Saturday. Any takers for a few miles of glorious roads? Breakfast or lunch at Stradbally Fayre?

While we are at this should we start a new post for 2013 for a possible Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula run? Hard to expect a three in a row of good weather but Kerry like the idea of three in a row. Plenty of good camping and hotels.

Might have been tempted myself but have a granddaughters 1st birthday to attend on Saturday.
Might be a good idea to start a new thread for Dingle, etc. next year.
Good man Olaf for volunteering!

Well, the 6th October is a bit too early for me but I'm definitely in for the next one to the Kingdom. And the chance of a spin with the water-bearer Smile makes it even more tempting - something I've never done.
