I have just lubed my splines - first time I have done it. Thanks for the guidance on this forum. I took these pictures of the splines after cleaning and before adding the lude (A molyslip grease donated from my local BMW dealer!).

But will they last?

I can't see your pics however motorworks or motobins will sort out for a reasonable sum a repair to your final drive. I had mine done and the turn around was pretty good I have had no problems since Very Happy

Nice bit of saw tooth action going on there.... I am by no means an expert but I would say keep a close on them. The ones on the driveshaft itself tend to go before the final drive side.

They are both shagged, with some good moly grease they will go a bit futher but if they were mine I would not even consider riding till fixed. Once the spline on the drive goes it probably cant be repaired but can now. As for the shaft get the weld on spline from Motobins and any good engineering shop should be able to do the job.
